    Default FFL question

I'm looking at getting an FFL. Do I need a business license? If I get a municipal business license do I need a state one, or vice versa?

Just wanting to make sure I cover all my bases. Any input would be appreciated.

I would imagine you would need both.

Basically, since an FFL is issued to be engaged in the Business of buying and selling firearms, then yes. The Feds require you to be in compliance with all state and local laws and ordinances to get your FFL. Business licenses are cheap. The state requires you to have one to be in business in the state. The short answer is yes.
