    Default Russian River

Haven't read any reports lately. How are the 'bows and dollies doing? Probably going to head down there on Saturday. Any reports are appreciated.

My neighbor fish it yesterday. He said that they way-layed trout a little downstream of the F&G marker. It sounds like there are some bear up there right now as well.

Peach flesh seemed to be the ticket.

Fished the Russian today. It was definitely an A+ day in my book. Between a buddy and I we must have landed at least 50 fish, with 6 of those being Dollies, not sure where they went. A lot of juveniles and alot of 14-18 inchers. Two of them were huge, unfortunately got only one fish that wasn't camera shy. Other monster got off while attempting photo, here is the one AKNook caught. Saw quite a few trout fisherman, most of them we talked to hadn't caught to many. 8mm bead was the ticket, and we couldn't have asked for bette weather. I'm going to have to make one more trip down there. We saw the injured brown bear today also, he was in his own world eating salmon. Check out the gouge on his back.

Cox and slayer, are you guys gonna make it down for any of the Fishapalooza gathering? Either/both of you guys would be a great addition. I'll bring you a 6 pack of your favorite adult beverage. I'm sure that some of the other guys would enjoy the company as well. I'm pretty sure there's room in one of the boats for both of ya.

Great pics and awesome weather! Sadly I believe that brownie isn't long for this world. That wound is certainly soon to be infected if not already.

Nobody can make a video like the Jedi, but here's my take from the Russian this past Saturday. Good times for sure! No fish were harmed in the making of this video... Comments welcome.

Hey Phish, after this past weekend I think I need to go down and fish the Russian one more time. Maybe I can get TSS or AkNook to spend the weekend down there with me and meet the crew at Fishapalooza. We'll see, I definitely want to make it down one more time. Being able to float the upper would only be icing, that would be great. Look forward to possibly meeting everyone, we'll see what pans out.

Nope, never been there. I should definitely do it one day, we started at the end of the boardwalk.

I read (either on here or the Alaska Outdoor Journal) that the grizzly was attacked by another older brownie. Looks like he got the "raw" end of the deal! Hopefully he makes it, but I'm sure it's infected pretty bad.
