    Smile New To Fishing Alaska

My buddy and I are making a trip to Alaska in Sept. he to hunt Moose and I to tag along and fish. My question is what should I expect and what kind off equiptment should I consider taking. I want to fly fish if at all possible. I am 67 and am really looking forward to visiting and having a successful trip so any help would be greatly appreciated. wcb8692@aol.com

Sept. is great time for a flyfisherman in Alaska. Be a little more specific as to the general area you will be in and you'll get all the help you need. Lots of silvers still comming into the rivers, rainbows, greyling...

If your buddy gets a moose forget the fly rod as he will want you with a pack frame. Looks to me like you are getting set up to be a packer!

But, give us a general area or drainage and someone will help you out, that is prime rainbow and silver time!
