    Default Kotzebue Air Expo

    We are finalizing the Kotzebue Air Expo. I will paste final details later today or tomorrow. Right now it is scheduled for September 13 and are still open for people who would like to attend, present, or set-up a booth. We are buying your lunch and dinner as well as all the coffee you can drink.

    2010 UAF Chukchi Air Expo

    THIS EVENT IS FREE TO EVERYONE!


    Host: UAF Chukchi, PO Box 297, Kotzebue, AK 99752 Ph: 800-478-3402, Fax 907-442-2322. Event Coordinators: Robert Mackey and Jane Winzer

    Location: Alaska Technical Center, Kotzebue, AK 99752 800-478-2733.

    Purpose: To expose the people of the region to opportunities in the air travel government, nonprofit, and for profit sectors. This is not limited to piloting, but all air travel careers including management, sales, customer support, logistics, baggage handling, security, and any other tertiary support role of air travel.

    Deadlines: Attendees and Exhibitors need to return forms via fax or email by September 8, 2010.

    Registration: Complete the 2010 Chukchi Air Expo Form and Fax back to us at 907-442-2322 or email the forms back to ermackeyiii@alaska.edu

    Exhibitors: Free of charge, all exhibitors will have a table and two chairs provided as a booth. Other accommodations need to be requested by emailing ermackeyiii@alaska.edu.

    High School Attendees: Two Students from each high school in the NWABSD will have their travel paid for by the UAF Title III Grant. Other students that wish to attend must pay for their own travel and lodging. It is up to the NWABSD to evaluate students and choose the two most worthy of attending with travel paid in each village. NWABSD will be reimbursed for the student travel, up to 2 students per village 20 total arrival and return tickets. Other students are welcome to attend at their own expense and with permission from their parents, and in compliance with NWABSD attendance policy for their regular education.

    Other Attendees: Must bear costs of travel and lodging due to lack of funds.

    Funding: This event is funded by the United States Department of Education Title III Grant

    Meals: Lunch and Dinner are free for attendees and exhibitors on September 13 as long as we received your registration form by September 8, 2010.

    Snacks: Coffee will be served throughout the day for free.

    Travel: The following airlines serve Kotzebue and can accommodate reservations for the trip. We suggest that you book your trip to arrive on September 12 and depart on September 14.
