Cool. The first ugly comment. There's always someone that just can't help themselves, huh?

The ling was 28 lbs. and we did keep it. The butt were all in the 20 to 40 lb. range and could eat baby halibut. In fact one of them actually had a baby halibut in its stomach.

Don't get too bummed out Muttley. I wouldn't say it was 'ugly', just ignorant.

20-40#... eh, I don't know about 40, but it's hard to tell in the pictures. They all seemed around 25, IMO.

Well, the ling was 28 and those halibut are bigger, so you can figure from there. "All 25" is a pretty poor assessment I'm afraid. And since I was there I kind of know.

And it WAS ugly and a definitely ignorant I'd say. And I'm not "bummed" as you say. I just love the way people have to take these fun, upbeat postings to the "dark side" like this. That is what I get "bummed" about. It happened when I posted a picture, too.

It is truly unfortunate that some friendly teasing hit such a raw nerve. Here you are: Wow what a nice string of beautiful halibut, bet that was really fun, you guys are such pro`s when it comes to fishing!!!! Feel better?

Thanks for all the views and comments. I know the halibut we caught were not great big ones, but we had fun and good fellowship for the day, thanks again Dave for pony up on the prize. Big Cox made me envious when he caught the ling cod....next time! I am really blessed to be able to enjoy all the fishing adventures I go on.

22 years in the Infantry gave me some thick skin, thicker than my stormtrooper armor. I post my reports to share the events and do a little braggin when I can......I take no offense to others pointed remarks. Thanks again for everyone that watched and or commented. Fish On!
