Default Gunners first boo at 7years old

We just finished a week long fly in trip. My boy baged his first boo. He packed out both front shoulders and helped with the butchering.

    Default Great hunting partner

He did his share of the glassing and camp chores as well.

He said the water was a little chilly but refreshing.

Yes is a H&R. It is 270 cal. He was shooting Barnes TSX 130s. It is a heavy gun. Recoil is not bad but kids need a rest to hold it well. He shot off of shooting sticks. He started with the same gun in 243 but upgraded to the 270 when he was 6.

Congrats to you both WK, I knew when I met you both at Pike's this spring that he was going to be an outstanding hunter. Even as young as he is, he has done more than a lot of grown men.

He will be out sheep hunting before you know it.

Can't wait to see his first moose. Good luck

that has got to feel great helping your kids get out there and learn this stuff. I can't wait until my boys are a little older! although 6 months and 2 years are great ages you just can't start the fly ins yet. Congrats

Nothing better in life than watching you youngster take their first big game animal. Quit impressed that he helped pack as well!
