Thread: Is blood pressure still part of a FAA medical?

Default Is blood pressure still part of a FAA medical?

I just looked at the 2010 part 67 regs and saw nothing about BP. Am I missing something? I ask because I would always just get by the 155/95 standard.

No coffee, soda or anything with caffeine for a couple of days.
Don't eat a bunch of salty stuff for a few days.
    Get lots of sleep
Drink a bunch of sleepy time or nerve calmer herbal tea an hour before the test.
Make sure your trouser belt is nice and loose.
Don't stress about your stress while they are pumping up the cuff.
Just close your eyes and think about a nice glassy lake on a cool morning....Maybe a couple of Rainbow Trout taking some bugs off the surface....

In June I was 120/76 but on Diovan 80mg and that was the only thing that the doc explained on the FAA physical form using words like "well controlled" etc. The FAA has not come back with anyquestions ... at this point in time.
