    Default September Halibut?

I have some family coming in Late September early October. I wanted to take them halibut fishing, just wondering if it would be too late or even worth going?

It is never too late for halibut in Homer. And maybe you should be thinking "winter kings" too. I caught 2 nice kings (12 and 13 lbs.) today and they are around all winter long. Halibut, too. I catch them routinely all winter long. Not big ones, but halibut nonetheless.

Come on people! Someone new on this forum is asking for help. A number of you are VERY quick to jump on me in other threads, but not a single person wants to help this guy out? It's a sad state of affairs when a forum becomes a forum for airing your grievances with someone and goes away from its stated purpose.

nc-cortez. If you PM me or send me an email I'd be happy to suggest some outfits for you to use. You could try Jim Lavrakas of Skookum Charters (www.akskookumcharters.com) and there are others that are available.

The good news is the fish don't go away the people do, MCF is right and winter kings are the best salmon you'll ever eat!
