Default Sodium sulfite-based egg cures to be banned...

    .... in Oregon.

Wouldn't be surprised to see WA and BC follow suit in the not too distant future.

Looked up egg cure sodium sulphite and found some home cures on steelheader.net. Are there any commercial cures that use it?
Would the borax/sugar/salt cures be affected by this?

That sucks, I've been using it for the last three years and it works great.

If it's toxic to salmon, their eggs, fry, the river eco-system, then good on them I say. I want to be able to come back to my favorite home streams in the next 30 years and still find a river full of healthy fish.
Thank God for people who don't fish!! Not much would get done without them =)

Whats with all of these crazy concoctions. Just use plain old salt. I have caught more fish on these eggs than my freinds who use those crazy mixtures.
