Default Black bears in the Chugach

I was wanting to try a black bear hunt near Anchorage. I was looking for some pointers on where to go and how to hunt them. Management areas restrict me to the Peters Creek drainage area and from Indian valley to Girdwood.

Drive down the Seward and glass at the pullouts. There are bears there just might be hard to spot until the leaves are gone.

Come out to the Peters Creek Drainage. We are always looking for help to keep our population under control. If you down one, I am close and can help recover, with pack help available. There are 2 big ones now roaming the neighborhood and should be moving up valley soon.
