    Default Derby blues

Had a really disappointing derby this year, got to fish the last two days of it and could not take advantage of the calm seas. Never could get dialed in on a good number of fish, my son did catch a 10lber he entered, he was excited about it. Worst of all, my steering went out on my boat, it started going out around cheval island, and luckily only went completely out just outside of the harbor and we kicked it in with the 9.9. Hopefully next year we will have better luck

I have to agree, a whole lot of fishing and not much catching. I did better on silvers while halibut fishing, but no derby entries.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you still had a good time. How hard was it getting your boat to the dock on your kicker? I have a similar boat and have wondered how well I could maneuver it in close quarters using the kicker.

It was nothing to it really, the hardest part was seeing the dock from the back of the boat, but I just came in nice and easy and it worked out good
