Default Rumor of world record black tail on POW.

I heard that a lady got a world record buck over on POW and was wandering if anyone has heard anything about it.

If the world record black tail record is broken.....It's a very good chance it will be from POW!

If a big buck has been taken this season, calling it a new world record is premature as I believe there is a drying period (60 days?) that has to take place before it can be officially scored.

I've heard about a lady getting a big buck this season. Didn't hear anything about a world record.

Sounds like you aren't following the rules....................what's said in Wrangell, stays in Wrangell.

I would sure like to see the record broken... The current record looks nothing like a blacktail and is the only big buck to have ever come from the area.

    Default rumors

Those rumors have been around since she got it in the July subsistence hunt.

The first home score was a velvet score ... I think. Early antlers can shrink allot when stripped of velvet.

Actually we have heard of the "new world record" many times in the past. Home scorers seem to give themselves very good scores.

We will see what the tail of the tape has to say ....

Thanks for the update muskag. Velvet horns are definitely very subjective to the scorer.
