I was checking out the boats and gear "For Sale" on Craigslist and came across this notice posted by someone who noticed that the strategy of the Seller of the controls was to try not to sell the item. If it doesn't sell raise the price and keep raising it until it .....doesn't!

Interesting concept, but you may be surprised how many times it actually works. As a small business owner had more than a few things "on sale" (50 percent off) and no body would give them a second look. Raising the price in most cases resulted in the items selling.
My theory is buyers will think there is something wrong with the item if the price is to low. Raising the price changes there perceptions.
Doesnt work all the time, but often enough it is a good idea

Tattle Tales on Craigslist make me want to kill kittens. Why can't they grow up, find a life etc..... Worse than flaggers.
