    Default pa22-20 for bush flying

Need some advice from seasoned pilots. I am looking at buying a pa22-20 to build time in. I have flown for years but never got a pilots licence. I have also never flown a tail dragger. I know its got a short wing but am curiouse as to making off runway landings in the bush with it. Ive got an A&P and I'm an IA so maintenance isnt an issue.
I need ALL the advice I can get that pertains to the pa22-20 with O-320 150 horse.
    Thanks!!!
