Thread: Bowtech Destroyer Strikes

    Default Bowtech Destroyer Strikes

Opening day @ 7:00 pm. Shot @ 8 yards through lungs ran 30 yards and fell. Magnus Stinger 100gr. BH. Maxima Hunter weight forward carbon arrow. The arrow broke in half, half way through, broadhead passed through and the fletching end fell out. Hit rib entering and exit, think that is why it snapped. Maybe arrow had not stabilized, or I could have hit a blade of swamp grass I don't know. At first I thought I didn't get a good hit, with the arrow sticking 16" out. But found that half a few feet away from where he was shot, and a ton of blood a couple feet past that, and there he was. It was a great relief finding him so close. Can't belive my moose season is over already, I'll have to spend the fall looking for bear.

Stoked for your moose hunt being over! Congratulations!

Sorry about that second-rate bow you are forced to used! ;-P

Great job!... now put some FOBS on those shafts and see what stabilized is all about!

Geez...at eight yards from a properly tuned bow you don't even need fletching

SWEET! Well done. At 8 yards your lucky he did not fall on top of you! Now you have time to help out your buddies and live vicariously through their hunts.
    Thanks for sharing,
