Default Western Alaska Float Trip Report

Spent a week floating the Togiak last month, decent weather for the most part, awesome char and dolly fishing, good rainbow trout, as well as salmon (sockeye, king, chum)....

    Here's a few pics.

    Togiak Lake Day One

Heard these guys yipping and then heard their parents howling so we went over for a closer look. Pretty amazing, and a rare experience getting this close to an active wolf den with pups...

    Sunset Day One....

I need to meet some people like you! I've always wanted to do a do it yourself trip like that. Just don't have the rafting knowledge or experience to get the ball rolling. Awesome pics and sounds like an awesome trip!

I like the tripod you built to hang the filter. I kept trying to figure out how/where to hang it, and, um, I think people got a laugh out of it.

    Great pictures too.

well I must say those pics are awfully apealing! I wish I had the knowledge about places like that to float them, or the money! LOL
Seeing pics like that makes me glad I live in a place like this.
