Question Importing a rifle from England

So I've happened across a beautiful rifle for a very nice price, and I have no idea what it takes to remove it from dreary old England and bring it to Alaska where it will actually see time in the field.

Anybody know what it takes to import a sporting arm? Good folks with whom to speak? Additional expenses? Tariffs? Excise tax?

    Thanks in advance,

    Adam

Turns out I'm not buying anything anymore
I had received a bit of information on the process and was tracking down phone numbers when the wife came home and asked what I was doing and why that phone number had so many extra digits. I told her I'd found a nice Sako L61R chambered in .264 Win Mag and I had found a way to buy it and have it imported from England. Her face dropped and she darn near yelled "You can't buy that gun". Right away I was a bit ticked , but as she'd never told me I couldn't spend my money on a gun, I was also somewhat confused.
A spirited conversation followed and the truth came out:
Turns out my Christmas present is a 28" Encore bbl from Bulberry chambered for 6.5 Rem Mag.

While I understand I no longer have a pressing need for a .264WM, it's really, really difficult for me to pass up a nice early 70's Sako for $645. Oh well...now that I know it's possible, maybe I'll find something else I can't live without...
