    Default Kenai Reds still hangin' round

    Went up this weekend to teach a Michagander friend how to fish on the Kenai =) There were a LOT of pink fish but I managed to get a couple nice bright ones;

    She was having a hard time so we stopped by Hope on the way back to play around with the Humpys. I was landing a female when my fly rod snapped, such a heart-wrenching noise! Now I must go shopping this week so I can have something to hit Clear Creek with this weekend!! F'in Humpys!! E#%R#%#@
    Thank God for people who don't fish!! Not much would get done without them =)

    My favorite days of the year are coming up for fishing Reds/Silvers/Trout. Even though the season for Reds on the Russian closes the 22nd you will still find fresh ones laying in and under the older Reds. Can't keep em', but, they still manage to get hooked up while chasing the silvers. I've managed to bring in fresh reds into the first week of September on the Russian. Would like to see the season extended until the end of August.
