    Default Seward Moose Hunting

Getting deployed to seward during moose season, might have couple of days to wonder around. Any advice, thanks

There's not much in Seward proper, but if you head up the road a ways you can get into moosey habitat. There are some trails in the Moose Pass area. Basically anything from the south end of Lost Lake up to the Y at Tern Lake could be a possibility. Watch for private property along the road, otherwise give it a shot. If no moose, there are lots of black bears in the area.

    Red face Seward moose hunting

Seward moose hunting is pretty worthless to say the least. To prove the point, in the entire unit there are 24 moose taken per year versus 400 for the rest of the peninsula and you will probably not find an area to hunt that someone else is not already hunting. But bear hunting and salt water fishing are great!
I come home with an honestly earned feeling that something good has taken place. It makes no difference whether I got anything, it has to do with how the day was spent. Fred Bear
