Default What's the deal with Pinks???

I was fishing on a small clear stream for Pinks and there were tons of them. There were so many you couldn't keep from snagging the darned things. They wouldn't bite any fly I threw at them. There were a few exceptions that I actually had one bite a fly but it was very rare considering how many fish were stacked in there.

I don't get it. I've talked with at least a dozen different people since I got here that have said you can catch them on almost every cast! Or, it doesn't matter what you throw at them, they'll hit it. Today didn't seem to be that case! These fish were straight out of the salt and most had sea lice still on them if that makes any difference.

try dead drifting little pink things (jigs or flies)
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.
