I am not sure where the access is but I think you are confusing it with wasilla creek which oddly enough doesn't go anywhere near wasilla lake or city and is actually in Palmer... Rabbit Slough I think is on the flats somewhere but I don't know where to access for legal fishing, in fact I thought it was a closed fishery but never researched it.

LOL, I gave the flats to ANC about 1993 when my dad and I got pinned down by some clown doing mag dumps with an SKS and no backstop. Closest I have ever come to killing someone, as in safety off crosshairs on forehead finger on trigger, had he hit my dad 3lbs of pressure would have ended the situation for good. Luckily a truck came up the trail and broke up the situation so we could high tail it.

There have been signs up the last couple years stating the area has been closed off to target shooting. It's a narrow road and a small parking lot which leads to an alder lined ditch filled with grass with very few good holes to fish. Weekends only 6am-6pm. Can be good if you're the first to hit it but by the time the word gets out it's usually already too late. It was closed for a few years and they re-did the access making it confusing for alot of people so it got left alone by the masses. When it quietly reopened it was a nice little local fishing hole for people willing to get up real early. Kiss another one goodbye "sniff"

Hmm, you description sounds just about like the area my dad and I almost got shot. Signs or no signs, I'll pass...

They sure were... It was the "home in time for breakfast" folks. Had one guy tell me he read online last night that this "creek was full of silvers"..

To make it worse. The slough is not full of silvers at all. It has some silvers.

    Another one bites the dust..

LOL, internet misinformation sounds like a fun game! Kind of like the kid that would buy cheap stock then talk it up on the web to drive up prices before selling it off.

Did anyone hear the trailrace is packed gill to gill w/ 50lb kings?
