    Default Peninsula ideas?

We are briefly home for a resupply/maintenance stop/concert/airshow. I'm looking for a place to take the 1 and 3 y/o for a few days next week. We spent a lot of time at Hidden Lake last year and will probably go back there.

Are there any places that you guys would suggest? Fishing close by would be a great addition.

Hope? Could catch the tail end of pinks and it is a beautiful, quaint place. Closer than most of the other pen places. How about Kelly-Petersen with a canoe or skiff? There are some nice trout in there. Same with the Watson lake system.

If you want Salmon, the Eklutna Tailrace is a safe place for kids...don't even need waiters there..

IN Edit: Guess I missed the 'Peninsula" part. Saw air show and was thinking this area....Sorry

Thanks for the ideas Sayak. I'll look into Watson Lake and Kelly-Peterson.

Both are kid friendly. Both have catchable rainbows (native I believe). K-P is on a trail system that leads to other lakes (Seven lakes trail), in fact, Watson is at the end of it and Engineer is the beginning. Kelly has a rentable cabin from the Refuge folks. Both have decent facilities for camping. We like to camp on the island at Kelly.
