    Default Pinks are at Hope

stopped by yesteday on my way back from the kenai, fish are in, not super thick but plenty to have some fun, mostly fresh, few with sea lice on them, none were spawned out at all still shinny.
stopped at ingram and saw 4 spawned out pinks.

Glad you were "allowed" to fish there.

Did you see the Ch 2 news crew got kicked out of there when they tried to do the fishing report last week?

Fished incoming high tide Sun Jul 26th and found good numbers of pinks. Also found a few silvers in the mix. No issues with parking.

Here's a link to the Porcupine Campground. Go past the "end of the road" sign and cross the bridge and you'll run into the campground.

You should definately boycot the owners of the SEA VIEW CAMPGROUND for the treatment they give guests like channel 2. Those people and people like them are the biggest thing wrong with this state. It's not YOUR salmon people.... get a clue!

Fished there Friday night and Saturday morning, about half way between the bridge and the cleaning tables. The pinks were stacked up behind a boulder in the middle of the stream. Chartreuse, pink or orange vibrax #3s seemed to work best (in that order), although I caught something on just about everything I through out there. Saw plenty of pinks and some chums all were in great shape and fightin' mad.

What would be the best lures for chums? Wanna hit them on a fly but can use hardware. Thanks

Is hope a 'hip wader' kind of place?

Or would chest waders be beneficial to have?

    thanks

it really depends on where you want to fish. you could very easily do it with just hip waders or even rubber boots at that
