    Default My Blackie

Shot this bruiser last Sunday morning South of Juneau with one shot from my m70 300 wsm at about 100 yds. He went about 30 feet with a broken shoulder and no lungs. He is 19" and had no rubs.

    Smile Boat Trip

We took a boat then hiked from there. Had about a 2 1/2 - 3 mile walk back to the boat.

    Very nice bear, Muledeer.
Obviously you didn't need to change primers. Isn't the 300wsm great with the Interbonds? Congrats, nice shot, nice bear.

That bear is a pig! Congrats. Probably the biggest black bear I've seen posted so far this year.

    Smile WSM Load

    HogHunting,

Yea here is a picture of a 67" Bull I shot last October with the same 300 WSM Interbond load. He took took steps with a busted shoulder and no lungs. I recovered the Bullet and it retained 85%. This Load has performed flawless on everything I have shot.

    Muledeer,
I'm assuming you're not a vegetarian! Great moose! You've had a very nice hunting season and I'm sure it was a lot of work. You should be proud of what you accomplished.

Do you ever get tired of hearing how the Interbonds just don't get any penetration? I won't use any other bullet, and you have also showed how well they work.

I don't know if you have heard anything about the lawsuit involving the WSM, but there is info on www.shortmags.org

You might want to buy more brass just to be on the safe side.

    Hoghunting,

I also get great accuracy out of my load. Consistant 1/2"-3/4" groups once the barrell is fouled in my rifle. I have only recovered 1 bullet and have used it on 1 other bear, Moose and Mtn Goat at ranges out to 375 yards.

I'm a regular on the Shortmag web site, It's great.

I have hunted Browns down around Juneau, but not blackies. Make a guy want to go again for sure. Awesome Moose, too! Its great when a plan comes together like that for sure!!

    Default Big One

Sure looks like a nice one to me.

You post as MuleDeer on 24-hr Campfire also?

Those Paradise boys sure get some toads down their way also.

I suprised the skull was less than 20". I would have guessed 20"+. I'm quite familiar with the Mainland south of J-town, except for the big river systems. Not much of a "river rat" myself. Been into just about every nook and cranny down to Holkham Bay.
