    Red face chum right???

    Never caught a chrome chum (well my daughter caught it). I believe thats what this is right?

    Yuck! I used to give my buddy chromer dogs like that as a joke and tell him they were cohos.. Then give him a hard time when they tasted like dirt.

    seriously?? Bright Chum is dang tasty, not along the same lines at king, but every bit as good as coho.

    Never had one taste like dirt . I really like fresh chum it tastes real good.
    Maybe the poor taste was due to poor handling after the catch?

    Thanks to all the replys. As far as taste I just had it for the first time and thought it was quite a bit better than silver salmon. It's all subject to each persons personal taste I'm sure.

    Hehehehe, Fresh Keta ain't too bad, but the fish hasta be a very dark color...them light pink ones, you can have! Likewise, the bellies are the best... & you'll hafta have Yoshida's Gourmet sauce...

    Lutefisk can't be bad with some lefse to chase it with...

    You should try some smoked chum salmon and an icy bottle of akvavit to toast to the four winds. Tight lines.
