Default Anybody got a S&W date of manufacture table?

who would be willing to look up a model 30-1, 2"bbl, serial number 79xxx?

Interested in the date of manufacture more than anything else.

Looks like mid to late 60's. But I'm presuming you're missing an "x" from the serial number you provided. They started the -1 series in 1961 at serial # 712954 and ended in 1970 at 826977. so thats 114,000 guns over 9 years, divide that up evenly and thats 12, 600 guns a year. Looks like '68 or '69 depending on actual yearly production figures. The "Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson " doesn't get more specific than that. Hope this helps!
