    Default Other Fish?

    I have seen more articles on smoking & smoked salmon that I can remember. I know the oil content in the salmon lends itself to better smoke / flavor retention, just like other fatty meats.

    My question is: Can other fish be prepared in a smoker and be any good? I was thinking like halibut, cod, etc.

    Smoked black cod is excellent. I've had smoked halibut before, the guy lightly smoked it and turned it into "halibut jerky" it was really tasty.
    I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.
