Check out High Adventure out of Soldotna or Talon Air also out of Soldotna. I've been with both on drop offs and nothing but good thing to say.

maybe i'm off here, but can they still provide hunting equitment and not be a guide...we had a big thread on this for guys renting cabins to big game hunters. couldn't do it unless they were a guide...anyone know if the same applies ot transporters?

I believe "outfitting" is providing services or equipment in the field. So have to be a guide for that. If you rent your outfit in town and fly it out with you, that's different.

    Default Question on "Outfitting"

    Martentrapper and Brownbr,

In order for the air transporter to NOT provide outfitting services - does the hunter need to specify the dropoff location? I.E., if the hunter books with them and asks them to take him to a spot where he has a reasonable chance to bag a bou - is that considered providing outfitting services?

As long as the transporter only provides transportation "to and from" the field, I do not think it matters who ultimately determines the destination. Many hunters rely on the transporter to suggest or choose their actual destination. When using an aircraft it is an important safety factor that the pilot be able to be the final choice on where to land.
