I killed a sheep two years ago with a 156 grain Oryx fired from my 7x57. Muzzle velocity was around 2600 fps. More than enough penetration on a sheep, not that they seem to hold a lot of lead. I've worked up some good loads in several 30-06s with the 180 grain Oryx and plan to use that combo for moose this fall. I think it's a good bullet.

Have not bagged anything with an Oryx, but am interested in working up loads with the 156 grain bullet for my 6.5-06AI. Elk round.
