Default Can you believe low lifes are stealing super cubs now?

I read about this in the frontiersman the other day and then saw this add on CL this morning.

Keep your eyes out for this plane and lets try to help this guy get his Cub back!

I am going to email this guy now and tell him that the ODD is on the lookout.

I dont know what happened now, but within minutes of posting this thread the add on CL is deleted. I tried the phone number listed and its busy.

I know it's not a scam because I read about it in two places.

NOT.....saying it is so in this case, but sometimes there is more to these stories than is let out. I used to steal aircraft back in the 80's., it was very exhilarating work.

    Default Info

    Guys,

I don't think that is the case. I have now spoken with the gentleman over the phone. I still had his old add up on my computer after he deleted it.

He is an older gentleman and a very nice guy. He told me that he deleted the add because he thought he put it in the wrong section of CL. He was trying to get it back on but is not at all computer savy and was having a hard time of it.

I told him that I still had his old add on my screen and if he would like I could repost it for him. He was very thankful and gave me his email so that I could attach it to the add and he would get the responses not me.

Anyway here is a copy paste of the add... like I said this sounds legit and I am trying to help this guy out. I have reposted for him on CL but we are both waiting for the add to go live. I will add the link when that happens.

Back in 2006 or so when I was a student I and my CFI went to Willow for some touch & goes. During the overfly saw a plane upside down at mid Field, about 30 feet into the brush,so did a full stop. It was a SC that someone had lost control of,tore up 30 feet of brush with and flipped. Reeked of gas, amazing it didn't burn. Found out later it had been stolen from Birchwood.
