    Default Best campground to fish at on the kenai?

    Whats the best place to camp and fish? Heading down for a few days but dont know were to stay. Prolly using a rv.

    Now I'd say anywhere you can get a reservation. I just drove back to Anchorage from Sterling and every state campground on the way back was full.

    They are all pretty much the same. Check Soldotna's Swiftwater and Centennial city parks, and there are private RV parks on Big Eddy road that are very good.

    What campgrounds are up Funny River Road these days? I used to camp at a place called "My Shack" a privite campground about 10 or so miles up Funny River from Soldotna. Is that place still there?
