    Default outboard jet transom questions??

so I am looking at a seaark 1652 tunnel that needs a transom raise in order to accomodate the 25 inch outboard that will someday sit on it. does anyone have any good suggestions for a bomber way to extend the transom up 6 inches??? pics would be great or sketches . Has anyone ran a johnsonn 55 seahorse as a jet?? Just trying to see what the best way to do this is. THanks in advance!!

I built one earlier this summer. My transom is 1 3/4" thick and I was lucky to find a scrap of 5" x 1 3/4" aluminum square tube at a local fab shop. I cut and welded some scrap 3/16" aluminum sheet to both sides of the tube and bolted the riser to the transom with four 1/2" bolts. It's heavier duty than it needs to be, for sure. My riser is 5" but it has an additional 1 1/2" block on top of that. I should have put the motor on it before I bolted the riser. Too late now.
