Default Hardest calibers to find in AK

I was just wondering, in your experience shopping for handgun loads, which are the hardest to obtain?

10mm is the most challenging that I have found. Better be ready to buy in bulk when one of the few places that carry it get in a shipment cause it goes fast.

Depends on where you're looking in AK. In a bush village almost any handgun ammo can be tough to find.

Yeah well I figured that. I Don't see myself going to Dillingham to shop for ammo.
OK I'll try again. Hardest popular caliber ammo to find in Anchorage or Fairbanks.

Here are a few I shoot that are a little hard to find; 358Norma, 30Rem, 350Rem Mag, 41Mag, 25/20 and 256Win. The worst of the bunch is the 30Rem. It doesn't matter though as I haven't bought any factory ammo in many years except 22 rim fires. And, I have enough components for reloading to last the rest of my life.

Most ammo listed in poplular handgun and rifle rounds I can get from Double Tap. It is available and I get it within a few weeks. Pre payment is required. Have a list going now. I have 230gr WFNGC hardcast in 10mm in stock.

If this was a couple months ago, I would have said 22LR. As soon as they hit the shelf, they were gone.

I guess it depends on the popular calibers and where you are at. When the run on guns and ammo happened two years ago, it was hard to find anything but .357 and .44mag in and around Homer. I shoot 10mm and it's always gone from the shelves. Yes 10mm is a popular round on the Peninsula at least, and I'd imagine in the valley as well. I haven't seen much in .41mag or .44spcl either.

We have had, even in the crisis, no shortage of our ability to get 5.7, 357 SIG, 10mm or even .380. We try to get them in in 10,000 round lots. Even 357 SIG of which we have plenty

How about a .222 Rem Mag for a Remington Model 700?
Only those that can see the invisible can do the impossible.

Yeah... what about the 458 SOCOM? I know Ammo King will be stocking some flavors of it shortly, but anyone else selling it? I haven't been able to find a single place in town that stocks it... Chimo was able to get some ordered, but only 5 boxes so far...
