    Default Ingram Creek & Whittier

If anyone is going to the pennisula, could you do a quick "look-see" at Ingram creek before you get into Turnagain pass for me? I'm wanting to take some relatives and kids for some easy picking for some pinks.

    OR

If you are going to Whittier, please check out the first salmon run for me and pm the (hopefully good) news?

    Thanks guys & gals!

I was going to take the family to Whittier today, but there's a train stuck in the tunnel, which kind of put a stop to that plan. I may try again tomorrow if it's open, and I am definitely taking an early look at the salmon, so I'll let you know what I see over there.

    Default None that I saw

Took a peek at Ingram on the way to Kasilof yesterday. Watched for a bit, saw no signs of pinks. Was my intention to check Hope as well, but decided not to take the 30 mile detour after seeing nothing in Ingram. Checking past reports though, should be a few in both of these creeks by now. I would think by next weekend it would be worth to check on the incoming tide.

Sorry...weather in Whittier sucked today, so I got some stuff at home done. I'm kind of in between projects at work, so if tomorrow looks better I'll hit it and let you guys know the pink status over there.

Nothing seen in Whittier today at any of the normal spots. Water was silty due to lots of rain the last few days, so visibility sucked.

I fished for herring for about an hour and didn't catch a single one. Don't know where they went, but they are definitely not where they were.

Tons of tiny cod being caught by some other folks. I let mine go, but they were keeping them for something.

    Default Ingram Cr.

I stopped and looked on the way over the pass and didn't see any pinks. I made a couple casts to verify.

Weather is too nice in Whittier today, so we may go down tonight. We just like Whittier, even if there are no fish.

Hopefully the water will be a little more clear and I'll be able to see some pinks. Some should be there by now.

I was out of Whittier last weekend (and every weekend since mid May). I didn't see any jumpers at all till I got past Pigot Point, and didn't really see any concentration of jumpers till I got to the South end of Ester, although the comm guys did a number on them on Friday (2 July). I suppose there could be a few making their way up Passage Canal, but I wouldn't be worried about bringing extra coolers quite yet.
