Thread: Drawing Results?

    Default Drawing Results?

Anybody have "inside information" on when the draw results will be out? Some people on this forum nailed it last spring and seemed to have friends in the right places. Any word?

Agreed that Friday night seems to be the tradition as of late - I'm pulling for next Friday, Feb 2nd, so I can start planning my goat hunt and my wife's Delta walk-in sheep hunt. (Hey, a guy can dream, can't he?)

If you guys don't mind revealing, how many you applied for Kodiak goats? My first choice on the application.

i've got about 30 chances in...road system. only 12 guys, a couple party permits and all have applied with two choices on there app. kodiaks got some pretty high success draws if you head south a ways...love the goats.

No Kodiak goats for me. I've given it some thought, but now that they've changed the start date of the school year for us teachers to Aug. 17th, flying south to Kodiak is pretty much out of the question unless I take personal leave time. I'd be happy to do that for a sheep hunt, but coming back from Kodiak can be too unpredicable. I put in for 3 Peninsula goat hunts and 3 14C sheep hunts, and put my wife in for 3 Peninsula goat hunts, 2 14C sheep, and one walk-in Delta hunt.

    Default one kodiak goat hunt...

i put in for the road system, 2 hunts across k-bay, 2 14c sheep and the crescent lake ewe hunt.
my wife put in for one goat hunt and the ewe hunt.
i drew dg477 in 05, found it to be a very expensive hunt logistically, but though we struck out we had a great time.

Dave, did someone kill your "little birdies". You seem to have the inside scoop on the tags. I Missed a coyote last week at about 75 yards (5 shots broadside). Sighted it in and it was about 3 feet left at 100 yards. I guess it was one too many falls down the bluff.

Wink south, if i remember right...

although i would have to admit that if i were to draw a sheep, homer cow hunt or a dc001 caribou then i would probably pass on a kodiak trip...like i said, it is a fairly expensive trip, though the road system would be the least expensive way to go.
not likely i will have the dilemma anyway..<grin>

homerdave, you draw the south road let me know, i'll probably be down there might be able to give you a lift out to the goats are even go up with you depending on if any of my clients get tags. i guide the roadsystem, could at least simplify it for you.
take the ferry down, save a ton. you could pull that hunt off for about 300 bucks.
