Default When can one expect to catch Silvers out of Seward?

Will be in the area on the 22nd of July and was wondering if the Silvers would be in full force by then.

    Thanks in advance

Would these two places be good in mid/late August?

    Default in the bay

By mid to late August the bulk of the silvers should be closer to town and will be accessible to shore anglers. Not to say you won't be able to catch any out by Pony but the mass of them should be pretty close to the harbor by then.

    Thanks, Greg
Actually, I would be fishing from shore...any suggestions on where would be a good place to go? There were tons of silvers around Labor Day last year in the marina in Valdez. Would the same be true for Seward?

    Thumbs up Seward silver run

From what I have seen the silvers in Seward show up maybe just a little earlier than in Valdez but every year can be slightly different. There are numerous spots in town for shore fishing and have seen people catch silvers in mid to late August out in front of the Sea Life Center. Miller's landing rents small boats as another option to chase silvers around the bay. If fishing from shore I would concentrate on incoming tides and start fishing an hour or so before a high tide tends to be best. The silver derby will be going on around then so there will be a lot of people in town chasing them.
    Good Luck,
    Greg
