Call was made to the guide association from ADF&G office this afternoon. I too waiting to see the EO and as of five minutes ago it has not been released. Even when it comes out I am not sure what the language will say as far as above bridge etc.

This is just an "insider heads up" on a new Emergency Order that will be coming out in the next hour or two (2:30pm right now).

At midnight tonight, 12:01am Saturday, the Kenai River will REOPEN allowing Catch and Release king fishing with the following conditions:
    • JACK Kings 20 inches and less will be allowed to be retained. Limit is the normal 10 per day under 20 inches.
    • TROPHY Kings 55 inches and greater will be allowed to be kept and must be sealed by Fish & Game in the usual manner.
    • ALL other kings are Catch and Release Only with No Bait, Artificial Only tackle restrictions.

When the EO is released I'll post the official notice. But this will give some long distance travelers a chance to change their weekend plans maybe. Good luck and good fishing. -KK-
