1999 700 RMK was running fine come end of the season then I took it off the trailer to use it for something else and when it came time to put it back on it wouldn't start
figured I had flooded it with the warm temps
let it be for a week cleaned the plugs gapped em and it still wouldn't start
so my son says lets see if it's getting spark.
dang it son it was running just fine when I took it OFF this trailer so why would it suddenly NOT be getting spark
so - looks like it's not getting spark
wiggled this, cleaned that, checked the other - still no spark
took the CDI off the identical 700 RMK sitting right beside it and swapped it out SHAZAM it starts right up
from what I can find a NEW CDI is going to be around $350, is there a way to TEST these things? could it just be the connection?
what goes wrong inside that sealed rubber box?
I see some used parts on ebay although not one for a 99 RMK right now, but I'm a little leery because mine LOOKS fine, it just suddenly went T.U.
anybody have any words of advice?
