What lake you getting your halibut cheeks out of Chuck?

My favorite freshwater lake fish if Lake Trout.
As for ocean fish, Halibut in the Northern ocean areas and in tropical waters is the family Exocoetidae (you'll have to look that one up ). They are some tasty little buggers.

Being from the midwest I'd have to say it's a toss up between walleye, crappie, and perch. Best from salt is halibut followed closely by fresh sashimi

fresh caught ahi...straight out of the water and onto the cutting table out on the boat, skip jacks will do though if the ahi aren't biting
