    Default Interior Game Birds Needed!

I'm helping out with the Interior AK Becoming an Outdoors Woman program in August. We're looking for chuckars, quail, or phesants to help teach small game hunting. Please let me know if you or anyone you know has any! Thanks!

Pigeons are a very good training bird and easy to aquire. They can be dizzied and flushed later. If a shot is missed they will generally fly back to the roost. Rock/common variety less so than homers.

Have to say, I'm quite sad that I didn't know about BOW when my husband was deployed last summer!

I am looking at signing up for a beyond BOW course in August now, thanks to this post!

    Sterling, AK

Have you tried Sterling meadows hatchery down on the peninsula? They have Bob white quail, pheasant, chuckar partridge, and some mallards. They sell out on phesant and chuckar pretty quick but almost always have quail available.
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day,
Teach a man to fish and he'll also learn to drink, lie, and avoid the honey do list.
