Default Look on the bright side....

Thru May 31, more fish have been counted on the Anchor's sonar than on the Kenai's.

Water is muddy making fishing pretty tough.

    Default A little SUCCESS...

I spent 2 hours at the Anchor this morning and picked up an 8 lb. buck on eggs. Saw one other guy hook up - and lose it - in that time, with reports of 2 other small kings landed before I arrived at the Slide Hole.

Attached are the latest numbers from my friend at AK DF&G who is the Princess of Ping" (AKA Sonar Lady)...

Four of us fished the Saturday evening tide; landed 11 steelhead, hooked and lost four kings. Missed a dozen other fish, not sure what they were, probably steelhead.

Three of us fished the Sunday evening tide; landed two kings, lost one king, and landed 3 steelhead.

Pretty much had the whole river to ourselves. The few people that were around seemed to burn out in an hour leaving us free roam of the river. Lots of fun, wish I could do it again this weekend.
