    Default Shoreside Rockfish

I've heard that there may be some in front of the SeaLife Center in Seward Does anyone know of other spots in South-central AK where I can catch some rockfish from shore?

Fishing your hole before you get there

Off the shore in Whittier in certain spots.
Your bait stinks and your boat is ugly

I have fished frequently to the right and left of the sealife center. There is plenty of little copper rockfish out there to be caught and an aray of other fishies aswell. If you get lucky the possibility for a halibut is also definately there later into the summer. The fish are not picky, use a simple herring or squid setup on a smaller hook behind an 18 inch or so leader with enough lead to keep you on the bottom.
