Leave the lake alone. Get them out of the creek and rivers.

I don't want to leave the lake alone, it's got 30 pounders in it

    Wink

If the State boys were serious about it, they would have placed a Bounty on them a long time ago. I know some of the guys working the issue. They have literally made a cottage industry out of it for them. It has meant years of guaranteed State Employment. They are playing you guys, like a fiddle.

Default NO, NO, NO this is not right

NO, NO, NO this is not right, we need to study the problem to find out what the really reason for the decline in salmon is. I would think this study should take only 10 or 20 years.

To blame wolves, I mean pike for this problem is just wrong, just because there thousand of salmon fries in the stomach of pike is no reason to blame pike for the decline in salmon.

I know what I am talking about because I read a Bio report that is only 10 year old on a river some ware in Calif, and my friend who also worship’s pike think I am right.

    By where is Alexander Ck?

Of course they have. Suddenly they act like they care about the Salmon returning up Alexander Creek. Why are they in such a fuss to eliminate all the pike NOW? The key word is NOW. They didn't give a darn 20 years ago, and they didn't care 10 years ago. Get em outta the creeks and rivers but leave this lake.

That stupid Pike derby really doesn't help anything either. It does nothing but inspire people who don't fish pike very much to go out to some remote lake once or twice a winter and catch large fish and lots of them. It needs to be centered around cleaning out pike in the valley lakes and streams that aren't taken over already. Going out to Alexander, Sucker, Flathorn and Figure 8 and "doing your part" is useless.

If you follow the link there is a little map.

It's basically +/- 30 miles west of willow.

    Default Alaxander lake

I thought the lake was classified as a Trophy pike lake?

That is why they have size restrictions and you can't spear or shoot them. Only use two tip ups in the winter...

Those articles that are writen are very missleading..

I agree they are trying to clean up alaxander creek but leaving the lake alone...

I dont think that would work well, because people could just catch a bunch up north where they are more common and say they caught them at Alexander...
