    Thumbs up Capn Pete

    Call Captain Pete at 399-6001.

He's a GOOD charter and captain and fisherman. If he can't fit you in he can turn you on to the next best.

    Good luck!

Default I'll be down there on...

July 9th. Heading out with VanSaun Charters. Hoping for great weather and lots of fish. I am pretty sure great clam tides then too!

Not a great "clam tide" day. It's only a -0.5 at 7:27 AM and then a +5.0 low at 7:27 PM (Seldovia tide chart). Four days later it goes to a -5.0 at 10:22 AM, so that would be a super day. Doesn't get much lower than that!!!

Is VanSaun out of Homer? I've never heard of them.

I don't quite understand why you have to take everything I say out of context. All I was asking was if they were a Homer operation. AlaskaHippie's reply was totally sufficient and exactly what I was looking for. Just curious.

Yeah, I picked up one that was in the 20 to 25 lb. range off The Bluffs yesterday. I released it so I didn't get a good measurement on it, but it was easily 20 or more. I took an experimental video of myself catching it. Here's a link to it: http://muttleycrewfishing.com/web_media/nice_king.wmv
