Default The boy closes the deal....

galen got his first "single-handed" salmon today. we have tag-teamed a few, and he has landed a couple with assistance, but today he pulled the rod out of the downrigger and played the fish 'til it was beat. i netted it for him and took the "hero pic".
about #20, chrome late spawning buck (milt sacs were not developed but obvious, so not a "feeder").
18' down in 24' of water downcurrent of "the rock" that is off the green cabin near the south marker at anchor river.
red bechtel flasher and a "red" herring.

    Default Oh you bad dad!

Teaching your boy to be a salt water salmon killer! Keep that up and there won't be any for them to play with them up the river!

Sarcasm over. Jolly good show Galen and Dave. Please don't pour mead all over it though. White wine and lemon is the ticket.

Tell Galen congrats on the nice fish. He's one up on me now. Be sure to tell him we'll have to have another snow ball fight next winter. Hi to your family from the wife and I and another congrats. Great way to spend the day.

Default Great to see the young guys fishing.

Way to go on your boy's catch.

Keep teaching the next generation, next time pick one of his little friends who's parents don't fish and invite him out too.
