Default Tangle Lakes River and Lakes

What is the earliest you have fished it? Anyone go there for Memorial Day or is it still ice covered? Thought that perhaps with the warm May we have been having that it might be worth the trip.

Im in anchorage so the earliest I have fished it is mid june. Give a shout up to Tangle River in or Maclaren Lodge or Alpine and ask them if anything is open.

Hit tangle for the week and it wasnt very good!

First day we caught about 100 grayling and I swear to god up in the upper lakes a 20+ pound laker was following my wiggle wart up to the boat it was freaking HUGE. But it darted off real fast

Caught 2 lakers that trip. No real monsters one was 28" and the other was 32" For the ice there was just one big sheet floating around with the wind. Summit was iced up but paxton was all clear.
