    It hard to hunt Salmon.....

When they Run, I dont know how much to lead them by...........and then I wonder; "does this rifle have what it takes to stop a running Salmon?"

Salmon come into our rivers here when Kotzebue Sound Ice go's out, they gather..........maby late June..........
If you can't Kill it with a 30-06, you should Hide.

LOL! I couldn't agree more. For me the salmon run begins Jan. 1st and then ends Dec. 31st. Then it miraculously begins again the on the 1st of the new year.

You also have to figure out if it's a 1 salmon every regulatory year or 1 every 4. Then comes the question, "this is a 2 salmon every year area, can I go to a 1 salmon a year area?" Do I need my IBEP to hunt salmon over a bait station? How can I tell if it's a spike fork or 50" or better salmon? Is that a full curl salmon or a 3/4 curl salmon? Can I hunt salmon same day airborne?

At least we're in Alaska and don't have to worry about whether or not it's a drake or a hen.
