    Default 2-cycle oil

So I just bought a boat and I don't know what kind of two cycle is in the reservoir. Is it bad to have two types in there or is it no big deal?

Run it as low as you dare then add what you want to run.

But there have been informal studies on snogo's where people mixed multiple oil's together without trouble.

    But better safe than sorry.

Using as much of the old oil will help quicken your transition to the oil of your choice. Also if you start having an oil issue then you will be able to easily tell if it is what you are using.

What kind of motor? What color is the oil? Color might point to what it is.
