    Default Wind forecast directions

    Stupid question but -

When the NWS reports TODAY...E WIND 20 KT BECOMING SW 15 KT IN THE AFTERNOON. SEAS 4 FT
    SUBSIDING TO 2 FT.

does that mean that the Wind is coming FROM the East or blowing TO the east?

Same qeustion for the bouy reports -

    Wind Direction (WDIR): W ( 260 deg true )

I think that an easterly wind is coming from the East - correct?????????????????
