    Default Kenai R. DBM 5/17/10

Man I love those driftboat mondays! Weather wasn't bad, fishing wasn't hot, but the peace and solitude, great company, and Alaska IPA's were great! Floated centennial to pillars, met one other boat at Sunken I. and other than F&G running around with there noisy little boat, it was all ours. Hit this one at the bottom of Honeymoon, 43"x26" app. 40 lbs and delicious.

Nice job on fighting that prime May buck from the drifter.

In the boat and ready for pics.... all within sight of where he was hooked!

Yeah, I had to do some major strokin' on the ole sticks too keep from missing the pillars! I dont think he had been in the fresh very long, as he was still packing some lice.

Nice! With the river being so low right now it is peacefull at the cabin. Great photos and isn't it great to pretty much have the whole river to drift all the good holes to get one of those early bright kings. Thanks for sharing. Tight lines.

Very nice! Makes me want to ditch the salt for once and hit the Kenai. I've got an inflatable Aire kayak and I've thought about seeing if I could get a king to drag me around in it sometime on a driftboat Monday. If you see a guy out there in an "aqua" blue inflatable kayak the next time you're out there stop and say hello. LOL!
